Setting up Computers for Far-End Camera Control

Installing the Chrome Extension and VisuWell PC App

This is only available for Windows computers. Both the browser extension and PC application included in this article are required for far-end camera control with VisuWell.

 

Only the computer with the Pan-Tilt-Zoom camera needs to install the extension for their browser and PC app. As long as that computer has these installed, all users who join the session with them will be able to control the camera without installing anything. Our Extension is currently available for Firefox and Google Chrome.

 

For the Chrome Extension

1. Open Chrome
2. Go to https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/video-health-services-ptz/jhfgmhhhbkedkghfpoinkngienkjdema 
3. Add to Chrome

For the Firefox Extension

1. Open Firefox
2. Go to https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/visuwell-ptz-camera-control/?utm_source=addons.mozilla.org&utm_medium=referral&utm_content=search 
3. Add to Firefox

For the PC Application

1. As the computer admin, download the Windows app zip file ("installer.1.4.5.zip" attached to this article at the bottom of the page)
2. Install using the .MSI file (not the .exe)
3. Allow it to install
   • If you get a Windows error stating unsafe, allow it to run anyways
4. You will likely have to restart the computer for it to take effect
