What fields are required in an SIU?

For CREATE messages (S12), the SIU message must contain at least the following fields:

• Organization
• Time
• Date
• Patient
• Unique Identifier (usually an Appointment ID or Encounter ID)

For UPDATE messages (S13 & S14), the SIU message must contain at least the following fields:

• Time
• Date
• Unique Identifier

For DELETE messages (S15, S17, & S26), the SIU message must contain at least the following fields:

• Unique Identifier

However, it is recommended that all prior meeting info be sent as well to ensure proper mapping.
