Sending a Session Invite to a Mobile Number While Scheduling
Important Notes About This Function:
- If you are creating a new patient account, you must include an email address
- If you are inviting a guest, you can include an SMS phone number, email address, or both.
- Selecting “Yes” for “Create a new patient account?” will create a patient account for the user.+
- If email is included:
- They will not be prompted to create an account and password until after their session.
- They will see and agree to informed consent prior to the session if that feature is enabled in your portal.
- If email is included:
- Selecting “No” for “Create a new patient account?” will invite them as a one-time guest
- They will never be prompted to create a password.
- They will see and agree to informed consent prior to the session if that feature is enabled in your portal.
- “Create a new patient account?” will always default to “No” for scheduling users and admin.
- “Create a new patient account?” will always default to “Yes” for providers.

- When a person receives this invitation via email or SMS text message, they will be directed to enter their name and will appear in the session.
- They will join as a guest, and not be added as a patient.
- They will not encounter a pre-session agreement or informed consent.
